Helping Young Adults Build the Self-Awareness, Skills, and Confidence to Create a Life and Career of Their Own

Know Yourself. Lead Yourself. Build Your Future.

The transition from high school or college into adulthood and the workplace can be exciting—but it can also be overwhelming.

Young adults are suddenly expected to make important decisions about careers, money, relationships, independence, and their future, often before they have had the opportunity to fully understand who they are, what they value, or what they want their life to look like.

FORGE Your Future™ was created to help bridge that gap.

“I am already feeling very encouraged and hopeful.”

“I truly hope that through this process he can uncover his potential and better understand what makes him uniquely him. I’ve sensed for years that he has been navigating through life unsure of his potential and what direction is right for him.” — FORGE Parent

FORGE is Talent Spear’s young adult development program designed to help emerging adults build the self-awareness, confidence, practical skills, and personal responsibility they need to successfully navigate adulthood, college, career, and life.

Rather than simply telling young adults what they should do, FORGE helps them discover who they are, what matters to them, where they want to go, and how to take ownership of getting there.

A Partner for Young Adults—and Their Parents

As parents, you’ve spent years pouring love, support, wisdom, and opportunity into your child. You want them to become confident, capable adults who can build meaningful careers, manage their responsibilities, make good decisions, and create lives they are proud of.

But there comes a point when even great advice from Mom or Dad can be difficult to hear.

Sometimes young adults benefit from another trusted voice in their corner.

As a father of three sons, I understand that transition personally. Through FORGE, I serve as a coach, mentor, advocate, and accountability partner—reinforcing many of the same values parents have worked years to instill while helping young adults begin taking greater ownership of their own lives.

The goal isn't to create dependence on a coach.

The goal is to develop a young adult who increasingly knows how to coach, lead, and advocate for themselves.

The FORGE Development Journey

Every FORGE participant begins by developing the personal foundation necessary for long-term success.

PHASE I — KNOW & LEAD YOURSELF

Weeks 1–6 | The FORGE Foundation

Before deciding where you are going, it helps to understand who is doing the driving. During the foundational phase, participants develop greater clarity around their strengths, values, emotional intelligence, identity, confidence, resilience, goals, personal responsibility, and self-leadership.

The six-week foundation includes:

  • Strengths-Based Self-Awareness & Career Clarity — Using CliftonStrengths® 34 to understand natural talents, patterns, and potential

  • Self-Awareness & Emotional Intelligence — Understanding values, motivations, emotions, triggers, stressors, and personal drivers

  • Identity, Confidence, Resilience & Self-Care — Developing personal standards, healthy boundaries, confidence, resilience, and sustainable habits

  • Blanchard Self Leadership® — Taking responsibility for success while identifying and challenging limiting beliefs and Assumed Constraints

  • Goal Setting & Action Planning — Turning strengths, values, and aspirations into measurable goals and intentional action

  • Early Adult Navigation & Financial Foundations — Building ownership, proactive problem solving, workplace awareness, and foundational financial discipline

  •

The first six sessions create the common FORGE foundation. From there, participants can continue into specialized development tracks based on their goals.

“I gained a better sense of direction.”

“Joseph helped me understand and apply my CliftonStrengths, communicate my value, build meaningful professional connections, and carry myself with confidence. His coaching helped me gain a better sense of direction and gave me tools to keep improving well beyond our sessions.”

— Recent FORGE College Graduate

Build the Habits Today That Create Options Tomorrow.

FORGE participants may also continue from the six-session foundation into a specialized Financial Development Track focused on developing the knowledge, habits, discipline, and decision-making skills young adults need to become increasingly financially independent.

The financial pathway builds from the same FORGE principles of self-awareness, goal setting, responsibility, and self-leadership and applies them to areas such as:

  • Money mindset and financial behaviors

  • Budgeting and cash-flow management

  • Saving and emergency preparedness

  • Credit and responsible borrowing

  • Debt management

  • Understanding compensation and employee benefits

  • Investing and long-term wealth building

  • Financial goal setting

  • Major financial decisions

  • Building healthy financial habits and accountability

One foundation. Multiple paths forward.

More Than One-on-One Coaching

FORGE is designed as a growing young-adult and family development community, with multiple ways to participate.

FORGE Parent Connection

Parents play an important role in the transition to adulthood, too. Our monthly parent meeting provides parents with practical tools, perspective, and a supportive environment for discussing the opportunities and challenges that come with helping a young adult become increasingly independent.

Topics may include communication, motivation, boundaries, accountability, career development, financial independence, letting go appropriately, and learning how to shift from parent-as-director to parent-as-advisor.
